Attending to God’s Needs!
July 19th, 2007 by Kemisola
Surprised! God has needs too; like we all do.
We bombard Him with questions that need answers and endless requests, God needs us to tend His needs and fill in the gap on His behalf. His word says that ‘so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous’ Romans 5:19. If Jesus did not obey His Father by standing in the gap for you and I, where would we be?
This new month of July, God wants us to tend His needs, we must ask the Spirit what He wants us to do for Him and be committed to doing just that. Everyone who mattered in the bible attended to Gods needs. Here are a few: Hannah in 1 Samuel asked the Lord for a child and promised to tend Gods needs by giving that child back to Him. Samuel, as we all know, was one of Israel’s greatest prophets from that time onwards. Esther is another who stood in the gap for the children of Israel and became one of the greatest queens that have ever lived. God had to raise Tabitha because she never ceased tending Gods needs and there was no one else at the time to do what she did.
What about you? There is a lot to be done: praying for genuine revival, feeding the orphans, encouraging the widows/widowers, lifting up the needy, being a blessing to one another: the list goes on and on…..
May our Lord never find us wanting…may we be counted as one of the very few labourers who will tend to a plentiful harvest.
God bless you.

Dear Kemisola, I am encouraged by this page “attending to God’s need.’ I read from Oswald Chambers’ reading from ‘my utmost for His higest’ 31May speaking on God’s needs. And decided to google for advice in this area. Your explanation is simple to understand. Indeed ‘what about me?’. What a timely reminder - especially in recent days, when my thought has been focus on my own longing to be married. Thank you for writing. Blessings, Lynn
